What is the difference between positive display and negative display of LCD screen?

1.       Positive display: The so-called positive display means that the color of the content displayed on the LCD screen should be darker than the background color, such as black characters on a yellow-green background (yellow-green screen), black characters on a gray-white background. Such screens usually display better in sunlight. The bottom is a gray-white background/green background, the words are black, and the color of the words should be darker than the background color, that is, positive display; another relatively simple way to distinguish is that the color of most of the positive display words is black. Someone just said that this kind of screen displays well in sunlight. Precisely because the words are black, they are not easily affected by direct sunlight.

2.        Negative display: the so-called negative display, that is, the color of the displayed content should be lighter than the background color, such as white text on a blue background (blue screen), and white text on a black background (VA segment code screen). This kind of screen has a relatively high contrast ratio, and the indoor display effect is better than the positive display. The bottom is a black background/blue background, the words are white, and the color of the words is lighter than the background color, that is, negative display; there is also a relatively simple way to distinguish, that is, the color of most negative display words is white, because the LCD screen itself does not glow. The color of the negative display words is actually the color that the backlight hits through the glass. Backlit white typed words are white. In other words, a negative display must have a backlight to display content. Meanwhile, another very common method for negative displays is color silkscreening. The LCD screen after screen printing will become colorful and diverse.
